Laser Hair Removal · Newport News

Laser hair removal.

810 nm diode for most skin types — face, underarms, bikini, and body. A short medical exam comes first, then a planned series. Honest session estimates, no pressure to buy a package.

01

How it works

The diode laser targets pigment in the hair follicle, disabling it during its active growth phase. Because only a portion of your hair is in that phase at any time, the treatment is a series — each session catches a new share of follicles. Treatments include −30°C air cooling from the Zimmer Cryo 6 for comfort.

Areas we treat

  • Face — lip, chin, jaw, and sideburn
  • Underarms
  • Bikini and Brazilian
  • Legs, arms, back, and chest
03

The exam comes first

Virginia requires a Good Faith Examination by a qualified provider before your first session — a short medical screening that confirms the treatment is appropriate for you. It’s a standard we’d keep regardless. Avoid sun and self-tanner beforehand; we reschedule rather than treat tanned skin.

Questions

How many sessions will I need?

Most areas take six to eight sessions spaced several weeks apart, with occasional maintenance after. We give you an honest estimate rather than selling a fixed package.

Does it work on darker skin?

The 810 nm diode suits most skin types when settings are matched to you. Very light or grey hair responds poorly regardless of skin tone, since the laser targets pigment in the hair.

Why is an exam required first?

It’s a Virginia requirement and good medicine — a short screening that confirms the treatment is safe and appropriate before the first session.
